Work apron Papua Grey 18oz British Millerain

Work apron Papua Grey 18oz British Millerain

The Work Apron Papua Grey is handcrafted with special care to detail using British Millerain Waxed Canvas 18oz and Premium Vegetable Tanned Leather. The leather has been treated and tanned with natural elements such as acacia, quebracho or mimosa. After its long tanning process, a laborious and meticulous manufacturing process is manually done in Ubrique (Cádiz – Spain). Because of the premium vegetable tanned leather qualities and the durability of the British Millerain fabrics, Papua apron is an ideal product for any type of work that needs some protection. Each piece is unique, mainly because all the manufacture processes, raw materials and final product are handcrafted. Because of the quality of our vegetable tanned leather, you won’t imagine how beautiful gets the patina with the age.

The work apron Papua Grey can show slight differences in the color between one product and another, because each piece of leather is handcrafted, which makes each piece unique. In the same way, “imperfections” can appear on the product; these must be seen as a result of the exquisite quality of the leather. The quality of our premium vegetable tanned leather makes the product improve over time and that’s the secret to our leather.

We only use the finest quality leather handcrafted in Spain in a traditional way. Our leather is 100% vegetable tanned and undergoes over 50 separate processes taking at least 35 days. Over the past 150 years very little has changed in their secret formula. Tree bark extracts from Acacia and Quebracho, water, beeswax, marine oil, and naturally occurring pigments are combined.

Each hide is unique and tonal variations as well as small marks are part of the inherent nature of the material. These apparent imperfections should be seen as an exclusive quality of each product. Leather will create a beautiful patina, darkening gradually over time. Scuffs can be reduced with gentle rubbing to warm the oils in the leather.

1. Clean the leather with a damp cotton cloth. If possible, use destilled water.

2. Apply a small amount of natural leather conditioner onto a clean cloth and work it in to the leather. Repeat the process until leather feels hydrated.

3. Using a brush or cotton cloth, remove the extra wax/cream and buff until their original luster is restored.
