The leather camera straps for photo cameras, are items that fulfill a very basic function, but tremendously important. In addition to providing security and support to the device, they are a key element when it comes to marking the personality of each camera. Our leather camera straps are handcrafted in Spain using premium 100% vegetable tanned leather. This will allow the leather to create a patina that will become more beautiful as the time goes by. The leather camera strap will acquire an unique character depending on the different states and episodes which it passes: sun exposure, use, etc. For their part, the leather camera wrist straps, the hand straps, are perfect for compact cameras and for those occasions in when you need to have the camera very handy. A simple element with a timeless and minimalist design.
The history of photography dates back to the beginning of the XIX century. In those years the camera straps were not necessary, since the first mechanisms that appeared were really complex and very heavy. Louise Daguerre, influenced by the first photographic advances of Nicéphore Niépce, created the famous daguerreotype. After these discoveries, the process of developing the photographs appeared, greatly simplifying their exposure time. Daguerre sold the rights of his invention to the French Government (in exchange for a life pension), which proud of such a feat, promulgated to all countries that France has just made a great gift to the rest of humanity.
